HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DO I HAVE TO BOOK?
Most clients book our outdoor event lighting rental services several weeks or months in advance. The earlier you book, the more time we will have to confirm our arrangements and prepare for your event. Having said that, we do get many last-minute requests and we should be able to help as long we have the payment with a singed contract at least 24 hours prior to the service start time listed on the contract. Please note that we charge 20% extra for all bookings processed less than 72 hours (3 days) prior to the service start time listed on the contract. This fee includes Square’s credit/debit card payment processing charge, expedited processing of the contract, last-minute arrangements with our workers and expedited planning. WHAT PAYMENT OPTIONS DO I HAVE (LAST-MINUTE)?
Most events are booked several weeks or months in advance, which allows enough time for checks and bank transfers to be cleared. All companies that process credit card payments charge a fee. If you'd like to pay in cash, we can schedule an appointment at my office. Otherwise, you can pay a portion with a credit card and another portion in cash on the day of the event (as listed on the contract). And you still have the option of doing a bank transfer if you have a Chase account. I apologize for not being able to offer any additional payment methods at this time. I'M NOT HAPPY WITH THE CREDIT CARD FEE!
I totally understand, but I can't agree that this is atypical, because I see it everywhere all the time and this is the first complaint we've received since we started offering credit card payments (it used to be checks or cash only). I believe it would be unfair to built it into the price of the package and then overcharge the majority of our clients that prefer to pay via check, cash or online bank transfer. Please tell the VP that I'm really sorry to hear that they are not pleased. I wish there was something I could do to make them feel better, but I can't pay the processing fee out of my own pocket when several free payment methods are available. I'm hoping for their understanding and consideration. I would hate to have an unhappy client. I just sent you a credit/debit card payment invoice via PayPal and it should be in your inbox shortly. Please follow their directions to complete the payment. If it's not in your inbox, please check your spam/junk/trash folders. I will confirm when your payment is received. Thank you.

Everything you need to know before hiring us to provide wedding videography is listed below and also attached in PDF format. Our minimum order amount per event is $300. Before making any decisions, please check out our short wedding DJ demo. I'm the founder, owner and manager and I take every client personally. We have a 5-star rating on Yelp, Google, Wedding Wire and you will never wait to hear from me for more than 24 hours. I know how time consuming and expensive event planning can be so we offer a 10% discount on any other services we provide if you book them at the same time with your wedding photography package (videographers, photographers, DJs, musicians and sound system rentals). In addition to saving money, you would also save plenty of time, because you would be working/planning with me instead of dealing with several different vendors. Please note that our services are not reserved for your event date until we receive the payment with a signed contract.
